I passed by a lane the other day but you were not there?
But I felt you.
I slowed to wait for you, you did not arrive?
But you touched me.
I looked again,then I saw you!
Stick held high I will always love you X

The Robin and the Son

Kind robin stand guard over me
As you did when you called me Son
When life and I,so disagree
Kind robin stand guard over me
Homage on my arm bestowed on thee
As love for you I'll never shun
Kind robin stand guard over me
As you did when you called me Son

Beautiful words by M.S.Pullen
Good friend who only met you briefly never forgotten,

forever in my heart!

Who killed Cock Robin poem

"Who killed Cock Robin?" "I," said the Sparrow,
"With my bow and arrow, I killed Cock Robin."
"Who saw him die?" "I," said the Fly,
"With my little eye, I saw him die."
"Who caught his blood?" "I," said the Fish,
"With my little dish, I caught his blood."
"Who'll make the shroud?" "I," said the Beetle,
"With my thread and needle, I'll make the shroud."
"Who'll dig his grave?" "I," said the Owl,
"With my pick and shovel, I'll dig his grave."
"Who'll be the parson?" "I," said the Rook,
"With my little book, I'll be the parson."
"Who'll be the clerk?" "I," said the Lark,
"If it's not in the dark, I'll be the clerk."
"Who'll carry the link?" "I," said the Linnet,
"I'll fetch it in a minute, I'll carry the link."
"Who'll be chief mourner?" "I," said the Dove,
"I mourn for my love, I'll be chief mourner."
"Who'll carry the coffin?" "I," said the Kite,
"If it's not through the night, I'll carry the coffin."
"Who'll bear the pall? "We," said the Wren,
"Both the cock and the hen, we'll bear the pall."
"Who'll sing a psalm?" "I," said the Thrush,
"As she sat on a bush, I'll sing a psalm."
"Who'll toll the bell?" "I," said the bull,
"Because I can pull, I'll toll the bell."
All the birds of the air fell a-sighing and a-sobbing,
When they heard the bell toll for poor Cock Robin.

WHAT MAKES A DAD

GOD TOOK THE STRENGTH OF A MOUNTAIN,THE MAJESTY OF A TREE,THE WARMTH OF A SUMMER SUN,THE CALM OF A QUIET SEA,THE GENEROUS SOUL OF NATURE,THE COMFORTING ARM OF NIGHT,THE WISDOM OF THE AGES,THE POWER OF THE EAGLES FLIGHT,THE JOY OF A MORNING IN SPRING,THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED,THE PATIENCE OF ETERNITY,THE DEPTH OF A FAMILY NEED,THEN GOD COMBINED THESE QUALITIES,WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING MORE TO ADD,HE KNEW IS MASTERPIECE WAS COMPLETE,AND SO HE CALLED IT..."MY DAD!"

YOU CAN

YOU CAN SHED A TEAR THAT HE IS GONE,OR YOU CAN SMILE BECAUSE HE HAS LIVED.YOU CAN CLOSE YOUR EYES AND PRAY THAT HE'LL COME BACK,OR YOU CAN OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE ALL THAT HE'S LEFT.YOUR HEART CAN BE EMPTY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE HIM,OR IT CAN BE FULL OF THE LOVE YOU SHARED.YOU CAN TURN YOUR BACK ON TOMORROW AND LIVE YESTERDAY,OR YOU CAN BE HAPPY FOR TOMORROW.YOU CAN CHERISH HIS MEMORY AND LET IT LIVE ON.YOU CAN CRY AND CLOSE YOUR MIND.BE EMPTY AND TURN YOUR BACK.OR YOU CAN DO WHAT HE'D WANT, SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES, LOVE, AND GO ON.

You Never

You never said I'm leaving
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried
If Love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In Life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.

Liberty

Verses to A Robin Redbreast
(Which Visits the Window
of My Prison Every Day)

Welcome, pretty little stranger!
Welcome to my lone retreat!
Here, secure from every danger,
Hop about, and chirp, and eat:
Robin! how I envy thee,
Happy child of Liberty!

Now, though tyrant Winter, howling,
Shakes the world with tempests round,
Heaven above with vapours scowling,
Frost imprisons all the ground:
Robin! what are these to thee?
Thou art bless'd with liberty.

Though yon fair majestic river
Mourns in solid icy chains,
Though yon flocks and cattle shiver
On the desolated plains:
Robin! thou art gay and free,
Happy in thy liberty.

Hunger never shall disturb thee,
While my rates one crumb afford;
Colds nor cramps shall ne'er oppress thee;
Come and share my humble board:
Robin! come and live with me -
Live, yet still at liberty.

Soon shall Spring, in smiles and blushes,
Steal upon the blooming year;
Then, amid the enamour'd bushes,
Thy sweet song shall warble clear:
Then shall I, too, join with thee -
Swell the hymn of Liberty.

Should some rough, unfeeling dobbin,
In this iron-hearted age,
Seize thee on thy nest, my Robin,
And confine thee in a cage,
Then, poor prisoner! think of me -
Think, and sigh for liberty.

Since there's not help, come let us kiss and part;

Nay, I am done, you get no more of me;

And I am glad, yea, glad with all my heart,

That thus so cleanly I myself can free;

Shake hands for ever, cancel all our vows,

And when we meet at any time again,

Be it not seen in either of our brows

That we, one jot of former love retain.

Now, at the last gasp of love's latest breath,

When his pulse failing, passion speechless lies,

When faith is kneeling by his bed of death,

And innocence is closing up his eyes,

Now, if thou woulds't, when all have given him over,

From death to life Thou might'st him yet recover.

Happy St Patricks Day!

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields...
And until we meet again,
May god hold you in the palm of his hand.
Love Amanda and Laura. GOD BLESS! XXXXX
